Our clean and cold Norwegian fjords are perfect for mussel production. Here the mussels do not gather sand nor mud. The result is a pure blue mussel of good quality which is available the hole year round. These delicate and tasteful mussels are natures fast-food. Åfjordskjell AS was first established in 1983 in Åfjord, producing fresh, blue mussels . Since then it has been mussel production in Åfjord. Ivar koteng, a real estate developer from Trondheim, bought the business in 2004 and there has been a great development since. Today’s production is up to 1000 tons fresh blue mussels yearly, but our goal is to double. Our market is both domestic and abroad, mainly Europe. Contact in Åfjord |
